USGA RULES SHALL GOVERN ALL PLAY
Local Rule #1: All fescue grass within the boundaries of the course, including walking and maintenance paths cut out of the fescue, will be played as a red penalty area. Any of the three relief options may be used for a one shot penalty. Play the ball as it lies.
Local Rule #2: A player may get up to one club length relief from a sprinkler head (immovable obstruction) if:
- The obstruction is within two club lengths of the green.
- The obstruction is within two club lengths of the ball.
- The obstruction is clearly in the line of play.
The boundary of the golf course is out of bounds and marked with white stakes.
Please limit search for ball to three minutes or less.

Handicapping Notes
The maximum score for each hole played is limited to a net double bogey, which is equal to par + 2 strokes + the player’s handicap strokes for the hole, based on their course handicap.
Key Posting Requirements
- Active Season: Scores must be posted during the “active season”. For Chicago District Clubs he active season is March 15th through November 14th.
- Minimum Holes: A 9-hole score is posted for 7-12 holes; 13 or more holes require an 18-hole score.
- Unfinished Holes: If a hole is not finished or a pick-up occurs, record a “most likely score” (par plus handicap strokes).
- Incomplete Rounds: If 10-17 holes are played, the score is adjusted to 18 holes using a hole-by-hole, par-plus-handicap calculation.
- Format: Only individual,4-ball, or team formats where you play your own ball are acceptable (no scrambles).
- Alone: Rounds played alone are not acceptable for posting.
Unacceptable Scores
- Using non-conforming clubs, balls, or tees.
- Practicing or being coached during the round.
When to Post
- Same Day: Scores should be posted before midnight local time on the day of play to ensure accuracy for daily PCC updates.
- Away Scores: If you are not on the club’s roster (e.g., traveling), post as an “Away” score.

Use authorized methods such as a CDGA or GHIN app or website. Hole by hole posting method is recommended.
